Procurement Officer
Working for the Trust's primary lead in Procurement, ensuring all sourcing is efficient and compliant. This role will incorporate working alongside the Management Accounts team to ensure value for money across all disciplines.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end procurement process for the Trust, including drafting tender specifications, evaluating supplier bids, and managing the formal awarding of contracts.Ensure that all purchasing activity remains strictly compliant current Public spending regulations.Maintain a comprehensive central contract register to proactively identify upcoming renewals and opportunities for multi-school "bulk buy" savings.Support leaders with the management of key service providers against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure the Trust receives high-quality support and value for money.Analyse Trust-wide spend data to identify cost-saving initiatives and work with the Director of Finance to implement sustainable sourcing strategies.Provide a range of financial and budgetary information and reports.Operate schools’ financial procedures in accordance with statutory guidelines, financial regulations, and Trust policy.Assist with statutory annual budget returns, and year-end audit planning.Support annual financial planning, assist budget holders and management accounts team in managing their departmental spends while ensuring best value from all suppliers.
