The Role As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and technical delivery of water and wastewater projects. You will be responsible for producing engineering process designs for a range of clean water and wastewater schemes, developing innovative design solutions for treatment processes, interpreting design data including jar testing, chemical and biological analysis. Preparing process calculations such as unit sizing, aeration design and chemical dosing, delivering feasibility, outline and detailed design work, liaising directly with clients across the UK and Ireland and preparing technical reports including assessments, whole-life costing, energy and carbon audits. Developing and using process tools such as mass balances, P&IDs, process flow diagrams and hydraulic design and supporting project delivery to ensure deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met The Requirements Ideally you will have a a Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline and 2 years post grad experience. Demonstrable experience in the water and/or wastewater engineering sector preferable but not essential. As the ideal candidate you will have strong manufacturing skills, be confident of delivering process improvements and correcting machines and equipment after customer quality concerns. Ideally you will have experience of CNC Programming which combined with a wider process engineering skill set will enable you to impact existing and developing shop floor programmes.Your role will involve: Produce and expedite general factory engineering improvement plansProvide support to the shopfloor as depicted by the engineering managerProject manage continuous improvement projects for the shopfloor or as specified by the Engineering Manager. Write specifications, liaise with suppliers and obtain relevant quotes.Support Program Managers on NPI awards.
