This role offers excellent exposure to the day-to-day workings of a law firm and is ideal for candidates seeking to develop a career in law.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant law, cases, and legislation.Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and court forms.Assist solicitors with case preparation, including assembling evidence and managing files.Liaise with clients, witnesses, and external stakeholders as directed.Maintain and organise case files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.Support with administrative tasks including filing, scheduling, and correspondence.Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with regulatory and firm procedures.Provide general support to the legal team as required.Skills and CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) desirable.Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.Qualifications and ExperienceLLB or equivalent legal qualification Previous work experience in a legal setting is advantageous but not essential.
