Warehouse Operations Manager (3PL)
GBR Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be exclusively working with a 3PL bonded warehousing client in Lincolnshire, recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a small team to success. This is a hands on warehouse / stores management role, overseeing several direct SMT reports & a warehouse team of c.15 operatives, working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (very occasional shift work to cover sickness or holidays). You will have strong end to end warehousing / logistics management experience, managing processes inc. administration, goods in, despatch, picking & packing, parts returns, cycle counting / inventory auditing, stock put-away, stock replenishment & more.Duties: Effectively manage all warehouse operations pertaining to the team including administration, goods in, picking, packing, despatch, returns, cycle counting, value added services and warehouse management systemsMaintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environmentAccomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring & appraising job results; coaching, counselling & managing all employee relations matters.Maintains the quality of the 3PL service by ensuring quality & customer service standards are met, by analysing & resolving any quality or customer service issues, identifying trends, recommending system improvements, plus implementing & measuring operational change.Ensuring the operations team accomplish Daily, Weekly & Monthly KPI’s.Maintain high standards of service to the client each dayManage the daily throughput of customer ordersEnsure outstanding stock receipts are completed / recordedAccurately record returns receiptsComplete stock inventory requests & stock report resultsWork with the Client Services team to deliver the required resultsCoach, mentor & develop the Warehouse Team ManagersWork closely with HR to monitor & manage employee attendance, performance, PDP’s & any other Employee Relations issues.Attributes: Strong warehouse management / logistics management experience Customs bonded warehousing experience is an advantage (not a must)Used to managing small teams & leading from the front Strong WMS & Excel skills required Strong inventory / stock control experience Used to working shifts when needed to meet business needs (this would be very occasional to cover sickness or holidays only)Security Clearance: Please be aware, you must be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS security check for this roleInterviews for this position are to take place immediately, with a February / March start for the right applicant (depending on applicants notice period).
