Job Title - AdministratorLocation - Bedford (MK44 – rural location) – driving licence requiredSalary £27,000 per annum OverviewAn established construction business based in the Bedford area is looking to appoint an experienced Administrator to support both its Commercial and Residential teams. Reporting into the Operations Manager, this is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being the backbone of a busy office environment.This position would suit an organised, proactive administrator who is confident working across multiple teams and responsibilities.Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day administrative tasks within the officeMeeting and greeting clients and visitorsAnswering and directing internal and external telephone callsMaintaining high customer service standards and responding to enquiriesSending out tender enquiries for Surveyors and EstimatorsProviding clerical support to the Senior Management teamDiary and calendar management for senior staffGeneral office management duties, including: Health & Safety checksOrganising fire drills and weekly alarm testsOrdering stationery and office supplies Receiving, sorting, and distributing post and deliveriesManaging vehicle administration, including taxing company vehiclesCreating O&M manuals and presentation foldersOrganising and booking company eventsFiling and maintaining employee, vehicle, and archive recordsUpdating company social media platforms The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role (minimum 1 year)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailConfident IT and general administrative skillsAble to work both independently and as part of a teamFlexible, proactive, and well organisedFull UK driving licence (preferred due to rural location) Desirable Experience within a construction or engineering environmentMarketing or social media experience Benefits Company pensionCompany eventsOn-site parkingRural working location
