Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Project Officer (Housing) on a 12-month fixed-term contract.The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis, with a requirement to attend the office in Oxted 2-3 days per week. The salary is negotiable dependent upon experience.The ideal candidate will have previous experience providing project and administrative support within a Housing or Local Government setting and will possess strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Supporting the delivery of Housing Service projects and transformation initiatives, including Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) workstreamsMaintaining project plans, risk registers, action trackers and performance dashboardsCoordinating meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities, including producing agendas, minutes and action logsGathering, analysing and presenting data to support service redesign, statutory returns and strategic planningDrafting reports, briefing notes, business cases and committee papersActing as a central point of contact for project enquiries and information requestsSupporting procurement and contract administration processes within the Housing ServiceConducting research into housing policy, legislation and best practice to support service improvementsExperience required:Experience providing project and administrative support within a Housing, Public Sector or Local Government environmentExperience coordinating multiple projects and managing competing prioritiesExperience producing reports, presentations and project documentationSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesAbility to analyse data and present information clearlyProactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementAbility to conduct research and quickly understand new areas of workRewards and Benefits:Hybrid working arrangementFlexible working opportunitiesOpportunity to contribute to a significant period of organisational transformationWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday – FridayPlease note that you require recent and relevant experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
