Job Title: School Administrator (Temporary)Location: Primary School, NorthwichStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Temporary (Until Summer Term End)Working Hours: [8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday]OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to join a friendly primary school in Northwich on a temporary basis until the end of the summer term. The successful candidate must have prior school-based administrative experience and be confident working in a fast-paced educational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide efficient administrative support to the school officeAct as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staffManage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiriesMaintain accurate pupil records and school databases (e.g. SIMS or equivalent)Handle attendance records and reporting proceduresSupport admissions, leavers, and general pupil administrationAssist with safeguarding processes, ensuring compliance with policiesManage correspondence, including letters, newsletters, and reportsSupport senior leadership team with ad hoc administrative tasksMaintain confidentiality and data protection standards at all timesEssential RequirementsProven experience working in a school office environment (essential)Strong knowledge of school systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or similarExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood IT skills, including Microsoft OfficeUnderstanding of safeguarding procedures in education settingsDesirable SkillsPrevious experience in a primary school settingExperience supporting attendance and pupil data managementKnowledge of school policies and proceduresPersonal AttributesProfessional, friendly, and approachable mannerReliable and adaptable with a flexible attitudeAble to work under pressure and manage competing prioritiesStrong attention to detailSafeguarding StatementThe school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
