Role: Clinical Negligence Paralegal Leading law firm looking to recruit talented and dedicated Paralegals for highly sought permanent position.Gemini Recruitment are currently partnering with a large and established law firm. Our client’s accomplishments are acknowledged and recommended in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, as a top tier firm.Department Background:Our Client's team offers sensitive and expert advice to bereaved families who have lost a loved one as a result of medical (clinical) negligence or medical injury during treatment and wish to make a ‘no win no fee’ claim for compensation. Their team is known for being caring and considerate; they go the extra mile for clients, supporting them at every stage of the claims process, with the objective of obtaining maximum compensation. They deals with a range of Clinical Negligence including birth injuries, cosmetic surgery, dental/ hospital negligence, medical misdiagnosis and medical / surgical negligence.Main Responsibilities of the Role:Report directly to Department DirectorProfessional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needsAssisting with casework including dealing with a range of Clinical Negligence casesAttending clients, taking instructions and preparing casesDealing with correspondenceManaging a challenging case-load of clients’ matters from inception to completionPreparing draft documents including witness statements and processing evidenceAttending conferences and courtMaintaining accurate time costing proceduresImplementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptlyEnsuring compliance with file managementKey Skills Required:Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of Clinical Negligence mattersA strong academic background with a Law degreeAt least one year of legal experience in clinical negligence, working as a Paralegal or Legal Advisor.Clear understanding and application of Clinical Negligence and CPR LawsBusiness acumen and the ability to market the CompanyExcellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of peopleExcellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidanceCommitted team player, self -motivated and professionalExcellent IT Skills -familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skillsThis list is not exhaustive and there may be other duties as reasonably required.About Gemini Recruitment and Equal Opportunities:Gemini Recruitment is a leading UK agency specialising in legal placements for Solicitors, Legal Executives, Trainees, Paralegals, and Support Staff.
