Role: Clinical Negligence ParalegalSalary: £24,000 - £27,000Location: Barnsley, South YorkshireContract: Full time, permanentWe are working with a well-established and growing law firm that is looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to support a Solicitor within its busy Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with relevant experience to gain hands-on exposure to complex, high-value claimant work and to further develop specialist expertise in this area. The Role The successful candidate will work closely with a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, providing day-to-day support on a varied caseload from initial instruction through to settlement or trial. The role offers meaningful exposure to claimant clinical negligence matters within a supportive and expanding team. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of witness statementsReviewing medical records and producing detailed medical chronologiesSupporting the preparation of schedules of lossReviewing and summarising medical expert reportsAssisting with the initial triage and assessment of potential claimsPreparing case summaries and supporting documentation for legal expenses insurance applications About You A minimum of one year's experience in clinical negligenceStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approachHighly organised with excellent attention to detailAble to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Benefits Competitive pension schemeLife insuranceSick payBonus schemeFull-time position, Monday to Friday Additional Information: CRA Legal follow strict best practice recruitment guidelines monitored by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).
