Vehicle Body and Mechanical Fitter
Premier Work Support are currently recruiting for a temporary Vehicle Body and Mechanical Fitter for our prestigious client based in the Swanley area. Your Key Responsibilities will include: - Routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on vehicles.- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and bodywork faults.- Completing mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and drivetrain components.- Undertaking bodywork repairs such as panel replacement, welding, fabrication, and cosmetic finishing.- Preparing vehicles for MOT and safety inspections to DVSA standards.- Attending on-road breakdowns when required and carrying out safe roadside repairs.- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and parts used.- Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and well-organised.- Working collaboratively with the engineering team to minimise downtime and keep the fleet running smoothly. The Ideal candidate will have: - Experience as a mechanical fitter, body repair technician, or similar role (PSV/HGV experience ideal but we're happy to train anyone with car experience).- Trained to NVQ level 3 in Motor Vehicle Engineering.- Strong mechanical knowledge and confidence working on commercial vehicles.- Competence in bodywork repairs.- Ability to diagnose faults using manual and electronic methods.- Understanding of workshop health & safety practices.- Full UK driving licence (PCV licence is desirable but not essential).- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
