Mechanical EstimatorNorthampton (Office-Based)£55,000 – £65,000 + benefitsFull-time | Monday–FridayAbout the Company & RoleA well-known and growing M&E contractor specialising in the construction sector is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support the delivery of their expanding project portfolio.Working across a diverse range of schemes, you will play a key role in managing the mechanical aspects of tenders and supporting the business in securing new work. Projects are delivered nationwide however you will be based mainly in the office. The RoleYou will join an established team and be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of mechanical building services projects.Key duties include:Producing detailed mechanical estimates from drawings and specificationsPricing works across multiple project sectorsWorking both independently and collaboratively within the estimating teamSupporting the business in winning new work and driving growthEnsuring all submissions are commercially competitive and technically robustWhat We’re Looking ForAn experienced Mechanical Estimator with a strong all-round backgroundExpertise across: Plumbing & domestic water, Heating systems, HVAC / air conditioning, Ventilation & ductworkAbility to interpret drawings and specifications with confidenceProven ability to price work independently and contribute to winning tendersStrong commercial awareness and attention to detailWorking EnvironmentOffice-based in Northampton (5 days per week preferred)Working hours: 8:30am – 5:00pmModern office with nearby amenities and good transport links

Your new companyA well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Northamptonshire is looking to expand its mechanical projects division due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work.The business delivers mechanical packages across a range of sectors including residential accommodation (apartment blocks), commercial offices, and healthcare projects, with project values typically ranging from £100k to £3.5m. Alongside the projects arm, the company also operates a successful service and maintenance division, providing long-term stability and repeat business opportunities.Your new roleYou will join the business as a Mechanical Estimator, with the role open to candidates at either Intermediate or Senior level, depending on experience.You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of mechanical building services packages including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems.
