Commercial (Property) Loss AdjusterLocation: Greater London/London & Brighton/SouthamptonOverview:We are working with a highly respected, top-tier loss adjusting practice with a strong reputation across the UK commercial insurance market, to appoint a Commercial Property Loss Adjuster into their growing regional team.This role is ideally suited to someone with a solid grounding in property adjusting or insurance claims handling, looking to step up into a more autonomous, technically engaging caseload within a structured and well-supported environment.You will handle a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial property losses, typically ranging from £10,000 to £100,000+, with exposure to higher-value and more complex instructions alongside senior adjusters. The work will include a strong mix of commercial perils such as fire damage to SME premises, escape of water in multi-let commercial units, storm and flood events affecting industrial and retail risks, business interruption components, and liability-linked property damage claims.This is a genuine career development role within a business recognised for its technical strength, quality of adjusting, and long-term progression into Senior Adjuster, Major & Complex Loss (MCL), and specialist commercial or HNW pathways.Role Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of commercial and domestic property claims from first notification through to final settlementAttend site inspections to assess extent of damage, causation, scope of works, and reinstatement strategiesSupport investigation work including evidence gathering, policy validation, and liability assessment where applicableInterpret policy wordings and assist in establishing coverage position, indemnity, and reserve recommendationsPrepare clear, technically accurate reports for insurers, including initial, interim, and final reportsLiaise with a range of stakeholders including policyholders, commercial brokers, loss funders, contractors, and restoration specialistsCoordinate and instruct specialists such as building surveyors, engineers, forensic experts, and loss mitigation providersMonitor and manage claim life cycle progression, ensuring accurate reserving and file integritySupport negotiation of settlement figures, contractor schedules, and scope agreements under guidance where requiredEnsure all work is completed in line with regulatory standards, insurer service level agreements, and internal audit requirementsExperience Required:Circa 1–3 years’ experience in loss adjusting or property insurance claims handlingExposure to commercial property claims or a mixed domestic/commercial caseloadUnderstanding of core perils including fire, escape of water, storm, flood, impact damage, and BI-related property lossesComfortable attending site-based inspections and working in a hybrid field/office roleStrong written and verbal communication skillsFull UK driving licence requiredWhats on Offer:Structured, industry-leading training and technical development programmeHands-on mentorship from experienced chartered and senior adjusters, including regular field shadowingClear and achievable progression pathway into Senior Adjuster and MCL rolesExposure to a strong mix of commercial and domestic property losses, including higher-value and complex instructionsCollaborative, high-performance team culture with genuine support at all levelsHybrid working model offering flexibility alongside field autonomyOpportunity to build a long-term career within one of the UK’s most technically respected loss adjusting environments
