Operations & Warehouse Coordinator Somerset (near Bristol) Full-timeWe’re working with a small, friendly business who have a newly created role for an Operations & Warehouse Coordinator to bring structure, consistency and calm to daily operations. This is a blended role, part logistics coordinator, part hands-on warehouse lead - designed to strengthen standards and keep delivery running smoothly.You’ll work closely with the Director to reduce day-to-day operational pressure, improve planning visibility and ensure the warehouse runs like clockwork.The roleThis isn’t a desk-only operations job. Nor is it purely warehouse-based.It’s ideal for someone who enjoys switching between coordination and practical execution, someone who spots gaps before they become problems and takes pride in doing things properly.Operational coordinationPlan and coordinate vans, couriers and transportConfirm site access, loading requirements and delivery windowsPrepare and distribute detailed job packsMaintain the master planning calendarSupport weekly planning meetingsKeep documentation accurate and up to dateWarehouse operations (hands-on)Load and unload vans for installations and hiresPick and prep equipment against job sheetsOversee returns and ensure equipment is checked back in correctlyIdentify damaged or missing items and escalate appropriatelyMaintain an organised, logical warehouse layoutStandards, compliance & fleetConduct and record PAT testing (training available if needed)Maintain equipment logs and safety recordsUphold safe working practices across the warehouseCarry out basic vehicle checksCoordinate MOTs, servicing and fleet adminCrew & process supportMaintain freelancer availability listsIssue job briefs and support crew bookingsAssist with welfare and logistics planningImplement simple checklists and SOPsFlag risks and bottlenecks earlyProvide weekly operational updates to the DirectorAbout youHighly organised with previous administration/coordination experience – and enjoy a job that is not entirely desk bound.Practical and happy with manual work – i.e. climbing up ladders and lifting equipment when requiredComfortable with spreadsheets and shared drivesExperience in events, production, logistics or hire would be brilliant!Warehouse experience is highly desirable.
