Litigation Solicitor
Our client is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join their reputable and growing team in Birmingham, West Midlands.This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and progressive law firm with a strong reputation across the region and nationally. The successful candidate will manage a varied civil litigation caseload while working within a supportive environment that encourages professional development and long-term progression.The role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious matters and would suit a solicitor who enjoys autonomy, client interaction, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the department.Key Responsibilities:• Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to conclusion • Handle disputes including commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, debt recovery, building disputes, breach of contract claims, and general civil litigation • Assist with a smaller volume of personal injury matters where required • Undertake pre-action work and progress matters in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules • Draft pleadings, witness statements, applications, schedules of loss, and court documentation • Prepare matters for hearings, negotiations, and settlement discussions • Undertake advocacy where appropriate • Take client instructions and provide practical, commercially focused legal advice • Liaise with clients, third parties, courts, and stakeholders professionally and efficiently • Build and maintain strong client relationships through high standards of service delivery • Support the ongoing growth and development of the litigation department • Identify opportunities for cross-referral and new business generation • Assist in maintaining and enhancing the firm’s strong reputation within the market • Manage time recording, billing, WIP, and cash collection effectively • Identify and manage legal and financial risk in line with firm procedures Requirements / Skills / Experience:• Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years PQE • Strong experience within civil litigation and dispute resolution • Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently with minimal supervision • Excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and case management systems Package / Benefits:• Opportunity to join a progressive and growing firm • Strong long-term career progression prospects • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Exposure to a broad and high-quality litigation caseloadShould you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.Please Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly.
