We are seeking a legal cashier Position: Legal Cashier – London OfficeExperience - 3 / 4 years’ experience in legal accountsLocation - London / Home workingSalary - £40,000- dependent on experienceAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Cashier to join our busy Accounts Department in London, providing vital support to our Finance Director and legal teams. You will become part of a well-organised and dynamic finance team, undertaking a wide range of legal accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment. We operate a hybrid working model, with 2–3 days per week in the office (as determined by the department head) and the remainder flexible. Accounts qualifications are not required for this role, but property experience is.Key Skills Excellent communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritise conflicting deadlinesProficiency in MS Excel and WordSystems-oriented with strong organisational skillsAbility to work flexibly under high volumes and tight deadlinesEssential Knowledge Solid understanding of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SARs) and VAT regulationsKnowledge of AML regulationsEssential Experience Experience of, residential and or commercial propertyMonitoring client accounts, checking receipts, and notifying fee earnersDaily bank reconciliations for client and office accountsEnsuring all transactions comply with firm policies and SARsProcessing BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments, and international transfersPosting transactions to the case management systemManaging office receipts and payments, client-to-office transfersAssisting with aged debt managementProcessing bills and uploading disbursement recordsSupporting projects such as inactive matters, residual balances, and file storageMaintaining an organised electronic filing systemResolving account queries and liaising with fee earners on ledger balancesDesirable (Not Essential)Experience with PracticeEvolve case management systemKnowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
