We welcome applications from experienced secretaries, whether from a legal background or similar fields (e.g., medical secretarial).This position is not suitable for candidates seeking a solicitor qualification route.Working PatternFull time – 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9am–5pmHybrid: 3–4 days per week in the Bristol officeThe RoleYou’ll be responsible for supporting multiple fee earners within a team of secretaries, ensuring the smooth flow of work and maintaining a high standard of document production, organisation, and communication.Key responsibilities include:Preparing, formatting, and producing high-quality legal documentsManaging diaries, inboxes, meetings, and correspondenceOpening/closing matters, conflict checks, and maintaining compliant file recordsCoordinating with accounts for billing, payments, and financial administrationHandling incoming/outgoing post, scanning, bundling, and document organisationSupporting property-specific workflows including checklists, completions, and post-completionAssisting with presentations, reports, and marketing materialsYou will bring:Previous secretarial or PA experience (legal preferred but not essential)Excellent attention to detail and strong typing/IT skillsConfident written and verbal communicationStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsA calm, proactive, and flexible approachSolid knowledge of Microsoft Word & Outlook (essential)Experience with legal or case management systems beneficialBenefitsAnnual leave – 25 days plus bank holidays.
