Technician
We're looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Neath Port Talbot Hospital contract. Location: Neath Port Talbot - On site working Contract: Permanent - Full Time What will you be responsible for? As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be working within the FM team, supporting planned and reactive maintenance across the hospital in a live, highly active healthcare environment. Your day to day will include: Carrying out a range of PPM tasks including tap testing, flushing and repairs, legionella testing, pump and compressor fault diagnosis, plant and equipment checks, fire alarms, emergency lighting, HVAC, AHUs and compressor maintenanceDelivering reactive and planned maintenance works, including minor fabric, mechanical, plumbing and heating repairs within your competenceUndertaking mechanical and plumbing activities, including fault finding and first-line response on M&E systems such as pumps, pressurisation units, generators, fire alarms, security and access control systemsSupporting electrical works where required, including basic repairs, re-lamping, socket replacements and associated testing in line with site procedures What are we looking for? This role of Facilities Maintenance Technician is great for you if: You have a mechanical bias, supported by a recognised mechanical engineering qualificationYou hold Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in PlumbingYou have experience working across multiple maintenance disciplines, including mechanical, plumbing and fabric maintenanceYou are confident carrying out fault finding and reactive repairs on a wide range of M&E equipmentYou have experience working in live, highly active environments, ideally within healthcare and medical gas environmentsElectrical qualifications are desirable but not essential We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
