They are headquartered in the UK and also have offices throughout Europe and the US. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be on site at any of their UK offices a minimum of 1 - 2 days per month. Main office locations include Oxfordshire, Birmingham, London, Leicester, Liverpool and Manchester. The Role: As the Information Security Architect, you will provide guidance on all aspects of secure design, considering the security and privacy needs of the business and colleagues. The role is responsible for facilitating the secure delivery of technology. The Information Security Architect will also play a leading role in the design and implementation of security controls and processes, as well as keeping colleagues, clients and partners safe from cyber threats by ensuring a pragmatic level of cyber security is delivered by balancing the need to protect the organisation with the need to do business. Responsibilities: Design and implement security architecture for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments and develop and enforce security policies, procedure and standards related to Azure and Microsoft 365.Ensure that all cloud-based solutions are architected and deployed securely, in line with best practices and organisation policies.Review and refine existing architectures to identity and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvements.Lead the transition to a cloud-native environment, ensuring security best practices are adhered to.Lead the design and implementation of a zero-trust network architecture for the organisation.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure zero trust principles are effectively integration across all IT systems.Collaborate with the managed SOC providers to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.Assist in the development and maintenance of the organisation's incident response plan.Collaborate with IT Services and Operations and business stakeholders to integrate security considerations into project lifecycle.Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies to enhance the organisations security posture.Provide security training and awareness sessions to staff, ensuring they are informed of the latest threats and best practices and promote a culture of security awareness through the organisation. Key Skills and Experience required: Previous proven experience working in a similar technical Information Security Architect role.Strong understanding of technical architecture and security aspects of infrastructure, application, web, and cloud technologies.Experience of creating and implementing technical security standards and security policies.Must possess hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 security.Vendor-agnostic technical knowledge around core security areas such as access control, networking and firewalling, malware, security in the cloud etc.Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory compliance, such as GDPR and FCA obligations.In depth experience of security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, NIST, Cyber Essentials Scheme, CIS framework.Strong people skills with experience of working with internal and external customers and suppliers.Technical security or security management qualifications are preferred e.g. AZ500, MS-500, CISSP, CCSP or CCSK.
