Partnering with a well-known household named global business, we’re seeking a self-motivated individual with indirect tax experience to join their Professional Services team as a Senior Implementation Consultant, focusing on implementations of Indirect Tax Determination technology solutions. The Senior Implementation Consultant will manage projects pertaining to the development and implementation of the clients’ Indirect Tax products. You will mentor implementation consultants with less experience and collaborate with management in Product Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, and Sales whilst driving process improvement and operational scaling. This role will have a hybrid working pattern, with 2 days a week required in their Canary Wharf offices.Role Overview Client service through regular, direct contact with clients, by email, telephone and face-to-face, throughout the entire project life cycle.Performs technical or functional roles on medium to large international projects, led by a Project Manager, Partner, or Customer.Manage and execute implementation plans including managing project scope, directing staff resources (both internal and external), evaluating results, creating documentation of newly created processes and managing overall engagement.Can scope out a project based on business requirements and achievable benefitsRecommends optimal system configuration and business processes based on industry best practices.Able to effectively facilitate meetings with project sponsors (Customer and Partner)Identifies and develops upsell opportunities within assigned customer projectsMentor implementation specialists and implementation consultants.Strong commitment to customer excellence, must have minimal to no customer escalations for services issues.Can lead technology decisions and facilitate and articulate alternatives and direction to Customer’s IT and Business Management. About You: Technical and Functional Expertise Functionally proficient with tax engine solutions ANDTechnically and/or functionally proficient with ERP systems such Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, NetSuite, Workday, or others. Specialized Industry knowledge required: Deep experience with European/Global Indirect Tax Law (e.g VAT, GST), Research or Consulting An understanding of end-to-end financial processes (i.e. OTC or PTP) and systemsExcellent interpersonal and written communication skills and experience of working with clients and project teamsExperience with process analysis, design, mapping and re-engineeringExperience with process/software gap analysis and resolutionExcellent organisational and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to work, problem solving and troubleshootingMust be creative, innovative, and flexible, with the ability to work in a matrix environmentMust possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and to analyse project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issuesMust have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many othersProficiency in Microsoft Office Education/Certifications: A bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Tax or Accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA) would be strongly preferred
