Human Resource Manager
Job Purpose:We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead a HR function and oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, organisational development and full-cycle UK payroll. This opportunity is with a well-established UK-based diversified business group operating across fuel distribution, forecourt retail, automotive, hospitality, and property sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional to align HR strategy with business objectives, support organisational growth, champion employee wellbeing and foster a positive and engaging workplace culture.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and develop HR strategies that support wider business objectives, advising senior management on HR matters and ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies.Oversee and process end-to-end UK payroll, ensuring accurate and confidential processing of salaries, statutory payments, pensions and year-end reporting, including P60s and P11Ds.Manage the full recruitment process, from talent acquisition and selection through to onboarding and induction.Coordinate employee training, development and performance management programmes.Manage complex employee relations matters, providing appropriate advice and support to managers and employees.Develop employee engagement initiatives and promote staff wellbeing across the organisation.Deliver company briefings and communicate HR policies, procedures and initiatives effectively.Maintain and manage the Brite HR database, ensuring employee records and HR information remain accurate and up to date.Conduct HR process audits and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and employee experience.Monitor and analyse key HR metrics, providing meaningful insight to support business decisions.Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee and payroll information.Person Specification: CIPD qualified.Strong knowledge of UK employment law, payroll legislation, pensions and statutory payments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.Confident advising and influencing senior management on HR matters.Strong leadership skills with an approachable and supportive management style.Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when dealing with payroll and sensitive employee information.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use HR data to support decision-making.A proactive and commercially aware approach, with the confidence to identify improvements and implement effective solutions.Highly confidential and discreet when handling sensitive HR and payroll matters.Positive, approachable and employee-focused, with the ability to promote a strong workplace culture.Experience:Previous experience in a HR management or senior HR role, with responsibility for a broad range of HR functions.Hands-on experience of end-to-end UK payroll processing, including statutory payments, pensions and payroll year-end requirements.Practical experience completing UK payroll year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds.Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, employee development and performance management.Proven experience handling employee relations, including complex and sensitive HR matters.Experience developing employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.Experience working with HR databases and systems; knowledge of Brite HR would be advantageous.Experience producing and analysing HR metrics and using data to inform business decisions.Experience advising managers and senior leadership on HR policies, procedures and employment matters.Hours of Work:Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm)Work Location:In person (Daventry Office, NN11) Benefits:Competitive salary package depending on experience.Professional development and training opportunities.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Opportunities to contribute to process improvements and organisational growth.Employee benefits in line with company policy.If you are interested, please get in touch ASAP or if this is not the exact role you are searching for, please do not hesitate to contact me directly to discuss other opportunities.Disclaimer – Oasis Business Personnel Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
