Human Resources Business PartnerLocation: Cunard Building, Brunswick Street, Liverpool, L3 1AHContract Type: Temporary (12 Weeks)Hours: 35 hours per weekStart Date: 1 December 2025Positions Available: 2Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week office-based)Pay Rates:PAYE: £25.28 per hourUmbrella/Limited: £32.43 per hourAbout the RoleRibble Recruitment are delighted to support Liverpool City Council in recruiting Human Resources Business Partners (Grade 8) to join the People & Organisational Culture team for an initial 12-week temporary placement.As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic people-focused initiatives. The role plays a key part in shaping organisational effectiveness, supporting workforce planning, and providing professional HR expertise across a wide range of people-related matters.You will act as a trusted advisor, proactively guiding transformation, talent development, organisational change and complex employee relations activity, ensuring all actions align with policy, best practice and legislative requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary interface between aligned Director(s), management teams and the People & Organisational Culture function.Commission and coordinate support from corporate teams to deliver directorate priorities.Lead and drive key people initiatives including:Workforce planning & succession planningTalent management & career developmentLeadership and performance developmentTraining, employee engagement and retention strategiesSupport and facilitate organisational restructuring, including consultation with trade unions and employees.Oversee redundancy and redeployment processes, working closely with Organisational Development to embed changes.Provide high-level advice to senior leaders on employment law, organisational design, transformation and HR policy, involving the Employee Relations & Policy team as required.Essential RequirementsGraduate CIPD qualificationOR actively studying CIPD Level 7.Demonstrable experience in strategic HR partnering in a complex organisation.Strong understanding of employment law, organisational change, and HR best practice.Experience working with trade unions and leading consultation processes.Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and support organisational transformation.What Ribble Recruitment OffersDedicated consultant support throughout the placement.Weekly pay and transparent rates.Smooth onboarding and compliance process.Commitment to fair, inclusive, and ethical recruitment.How to ApplyIf you meet the essential criteria and are interested in contributing to a forward-thinking public sector organisation, please submit your CV.
