Job Summary To deliver Hospitality Skills training wrapped around a sector of interest, digital literacy and/or development of maths and English skills. Identify and assess individual learner needs and skills requirements by undertaking a robust initial assessment: including maths and English, learning support, learning styles, soft skills and subsequently developing a tailored action plan to address specific barriers and skills development needs. Plan lessons effectively and ensure that activities are differentiated towards individual learner needs. Deliver training, coaching and assessment that effectively assists learners to develop personal, social, employability and IT skills to better prepare them for work and independence. You may be required to deliver alternative qualifications as per the needs of the contract. Based in our Leytonstone office with some work from Home Essential Job Duties Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to learners monitoring their progression and ensuring all forms of teaching, learning and assessment for each element of the qualification is completed enabling learners to meet the criteria for achievement of the chosen qualification.Maintain high standards of quality and compliance and complete all contractual paperwork and documentation as required.Plan lessons effectively and ensure that activities are innovative and differentiated towards individual learners, and that learner support is effectively assessed, reviewed, implemented, and evaluated throughout the learner’s journey.Undertake regular and meaningful reviews with learners to ensure they remain engaged on the program and that they are progressing well relative to their initial starting point.Ensure Math’s, English, Digital and Work Skills are embedded into delivery as required or delivered stand alone as needed.To develop and maintain own professional and occupational knowledge, skills, and experience, including formal training, CPD and networking with fellow professionals. Incorporating self-reflection to improve practice.Effective caseload management to ensure learners do not exceed planned end dates and learner assessment (exams/portfolios) are submitted in a timely manner. Education and Experience Requirements Qualifications & Experience • Proven experience delivering accredited Hospitality courses up to Level 2. • Level 3 Award Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement or equivalent.• Teaching qualification PTTLs (equivalent) or above (CTTLS Desirable)• English and maths to at least Functional Skills level 2• Experience working in a role and working knowledge of the hospitality sector. • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements for teach, learning and assessment. • Experience working within awarding body requirements. Desirable • Level 4 Award in the Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice or equivalent• ENTO HSS8 Health & Safety Award or equivalent Individual Competencies• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to engage with colleagues and learners.• Proven track record of supporting learners into sustainable employment.• Ability to plan and organise own caseload and diary unsupervised.• Able to meet and exceed retention and achievement targets for qualifications and progression.• Reliable and capable of fulfilling the employment contract (including good sickness record) other than for legitimate disability absences agreed with the Company • Commitment to quality and customers • Able to complete regular sector specific Continuous Professional Development around teaching and learning practices.• Ability to plan for learning including developing and sourcing resources for effective teaching and learning. Desirable• The ability to grow and maintain candidate numbers in line with budgets and delivery profiles.• Strong digital literacy skills and IT knowledge including Microsoft Office Package (Word/Excel etc).Full driving license / vehicle owner and willingness to travel across the Region.
