The right candidate should have previous dustcart driving experience preferably with a local authority and/or a waste services company. The driver would be working alone and be mostly collecting food waste from client premises for disposal at the Southwark waste facility.Drivers are required to help with loading and should have the ability to plot their route through the daily schedule. Candidates must be prepared to work flexibly ensuring rounds are completed in timely manner. Equally as important, is to have developed over time interpersonal skills to work well within a small, settled team. Manual Handling training would be provided. It is anticipated start time would be from 1pm and total weekly hours would be no more than 9 hours. The current collection schedule is 2-3 hours - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
