THE OPPORTUNITY An established independent accountancy practice in Old Trafford is looking for an experienced Healthcare Personal Tax Specialist to join its specialist team. The practice has a long-established client base, with a particular focus on GPs, medical consultants, dentists, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with healthcare-sector tax experience who wants genuine autonomy, long-term client responsibility and the opportunity to become a key figure within an established practice. Working initially alongside the practice owner, you will gradually take responsibility for an established portfolio, becoming the trusted day-to-day adviser to your clients. There is also potential for the right individual to become involved in the long-term succession planning of the practice. THE ROLE You will have a strong focus on personal tax, alongside wider accounting and advisory responsibilities. KEY AREAS WILL INCLUDEManaging an established portfolio of healthcare clientsPreparing and reviewing personal tax returnsProviding personal tax advice and planningWorking with GPs, dentists, pharmacists, consultants and other medical professionalsDealing with clients with varied income streams, investments and business interestsApplying knowledge of healthcare-specific tax and accounting considerationsReviewing accounts and identifying tax or accounting issuesLiaising with clients, HMRC and other stakeholdersIncreasingly taking ownership of client relationships and the wider portfolioWhat Were Looking For Healthcare experience is essential. Technical ability, healthcare experience and the confidence to manage clients autonomously are more important than qualification status alone.
