Occupational Therapist

The post holder will have experience working as an Occupational Therapist and be happy working as part of a team delivering Occupational Therapy in a community setting. They must be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a team. Role Details: · To assess and identify the individual needs of patients, to clinically diagnose and implement treatment plans if appropriate in a manner that respects people’s privacy, dignity, and individuality· To formulate and deliver an individualised physiotherapy treatment programme, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic handling, patient education, provision of exercise (individual/group), and other alternative options· To record and report findings appropriately following the standard procedures used by the department to maintain high levels of written/verbal communication· To assist Clinical Therapy Manager/Team Leader in service development and the provision of a quality service· To take responsibility for junior members of staff and delegate duties as necessary, always providing appropriate level of support· To be responsible for maintaining own competency and self-development The Successful Candidate Will: Hold a Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent· Be HCPC registered· Have previous NHS experienceFull, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes· Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelinesExperience of the administration and interpretation of commonly used standardised cognitive assessments.It is essential the candidate has experience working with older people in a rehab settingExperience working in a therapy team Who are NHS Professionals?
