Your New Role Providing operational support and direction on all matters relating to health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law across the Regional Warehouse, Transport, Store Operations, Real Estate and Office and National Department functions.To continually improve ALDI’s Health & Safety Management System; reducing risk and complying with legal obligations in a manner that is practical and proportionate to the requirements of the business.Liaises third party service providers who deliver health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law related services in their Region, including the Primary Authority. Liaises with third party service providers including contractors with respect to health, safety and fire risks as requiredReviews the implementation of a robust health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law performance monitoring regime within their area of responsibility and reports on performance.Conducts Store Risk Assessments, Workplace Transport Risk Assessment and Fire Risk AssessmentsConducts audits and inspections according to the agreed frequency across various stores and RDCsUndertakes investigations of any major work related incidents (reportable incidents) and advises on any required injury/ harm prevention programmes.Advises teams on the investigation of non-reportable incidents to ensure that causes of incidents are identified and acted upon in a proportionate mannerResponds to third party and local authority queries in relation to regulatory challengesAll applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle in order to complete field based work. The Role Key purpose of the role is to provide specialist support and guidance to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, guidance, and best practices, while fostering a positive health and safety culture across the organization.
