Support the Management Systems and HR Manager in all HR aspects. Develop, implement, and manage policies to ensure staff welfare and effectiveness. Drive recruitment, training, and development of all personnel. Our Engineering based client near Castle Cary is looking for a HR Officer to join their busy and growing company Key Responsibilities: HR Guidance: Advise on employment law, internal documents, policies, and procedures.Team Collaboration: Work with managers and personnel to implement company policies and goals.Business Improvements: Partner with the Management Systems and HR Manager to enhance recruitment and retention.Performance Appraisals: Develop and monitor appraisal processes, ensuring effective reviews and actions.Recruitment Support: Assist in recruitment drives, liaise with IT and recruitment agencies, and uphold the recruitment process.Personnel Records: Manage records, monitor probation periods, and ensure effective onboarding.Onboarding: Conduct inductions, manage paperwork, and support line managers with recruitment.Absence Management: Handle short and long-term absences, uphold sickness and absence policies.Holiday Administration: Administer the holiday app and log annual leave.Mental Health: Manage the mental health policy and oversee the Wellbeing Committee. Person Specification: Essential: Level 5 HR qualificationEnglish and Maths GCSE at Grade C or aboveGood ICT skillsExcellent planning, organizational, and communication skillsUnderstanding of health and safety requirementsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesHardworking, conscientious, and supportiveCalm under pressure, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a leader by exampleAttention to detailValid driving licence Ready to make a difference?
