Working with computer hardware and server hardware, the Trainee Hardware Engineer / Project Engineer / Commercial Engineer will be looking after a range of project plans, the technical pre-sales and working with end users. Working in the Technical Services team, the Project Engineer / Commercial Engineer / Engineering Lead will be creating project plans and managing multiple projects with stakeholders across multiple industries.This is a trainee role, so as long as you have the knowledge of computer hardware or operating systems and a desire to work with customers, everything else can be taught.Package:Between £28,000 to £40,000 depending on experience37.5 hour week with hybrid working hoursBonus schemePension schemeLife Assurance & Health Cash PlanDuties in the Trainee Hardware Engineer / Project Engineer / Commercial Engineer role: Preparation of project plans with associated budget, resource requirements and schedule with business stakeholders as required.Day to day management of projects throughout their lifespan in line with best practice project management processes including but not limited to project actions, issues, and risk management.Participation with resource planning for technical and engineering design/development, verification and compliance and NPI staff as required.Harvest and interpret customer technical requirements, identifying the customer needs and pains towards the opportunity win strategy.Represent the customers perspective throughout the project delivery including all design reviews to ensure the final delivery aligns with customer requirements and expectationsNegotiation and capture of project variations whether arising from the customer’s requirements Experience required in the Trainee Hardware Engineer / Project Engineer / Commercial Engineer role: Previous engineering experience with commercial hardware or industrial rack solutions or data centresCompetent communicator with ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.Ideally, but not essential, previous industry experience in one or more of: Computing, Medical, Transport, Automation, Energy, Communications or Defence & SecurityExperience supporting and preparing written quotations or proposals
