They seek to deliver innovative products and responsive customer service so that they can be a market leader, and are committed to building strong, long-lasting relationships and value their ability to provide customers with local knowledge and a physical presence in their local regions What they ask of you: Participate in the annual reviews of products and in accordance with the agreed framework, including tracking and ownership of any actions arising through to completionComplete conduct risk assessments across varying lines of businessProvide conduct support and governance assistance, both internally and to third-party business partnersUndertake analysis of conduct/Product MI in conjunction with the legal and compliance teamsAssist the Governance Manager in ensuring the Independent Expert Review programme is successful, tracking and owning actions arising through to completionAssist in the on-going management of the Technical Underwriting Guides, internal and external etrading system amendments and risk acceptance reviewsSupport and assist management in providing the UKNM business with governance and technical adviceSupport on-going management and oversight of product distribution documentationEnsure that for both Open Market and Delegated business that the breach process is robustly followedReview and support underwriting behaviours to monitor and improve efficiency as appropriateSupport Product Line Leaders to review new opportunities, assessing underwriting viability in conjunction with Technical Pricing Manager, , design and implement underwriting principals including putting in place DUA parameters, processes, UW guidance What you will bring to the role: The successful candidate will: Proven relevant underwriting experience in an underwriting role and demonstrable technical skillsBackground and experience in underwriting one of the UKNM classes of businessExperience in handling delegated accounts is desirable but not necessaryHave excellent written and spoken communication skills.Strong report writing skillsTrack record in building and developing internal relationships.Good organisational skillsAbility to work independently to strict timelinesGood regulatory knowledgeDemonstrable IT skills including MS Office and our internal systemsGood analytical skills and the ability to interpret MI and KPI’s relevant to account performanceBe studying for/or be willing to study for CII qualifications Their values: We’re all about people: Empowering them, supporting them, and helping protect what matters most to themWe put people first, and stay true to our word, because we believe in the power of relationships and doing what’s right We win together: We work as a team, exchanging ideas, supporting each other, and respecting everyone’s opinionBecause together we know we can achieve great things We strive for better: We aspire to lead and win in all that we doAiming for excellence, and finding a better way of doing things, is up to us all We enjoy the everyday: We are dedicated to our work, but we always keep a sense of humour and leave our egos at the door We think further: We are committed to building a legacy and making decisions that leave a lasting impact on our customers, partners, employees, and communities Due to the high amount of interest that we receive for each of our roles unfortunately we cannot respond to each application individually, therefore if you do not hear back from one of our consultants you have not been shortlisted for this role.
