The Fundraiser is pivotal in expanding the Town Halls reach, securing sustainable revenue streams, and building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and the corporate sector. This dual role requires an individual who possesses both the strategic acumen to grow business opportunities and the passion to drive fundraising efforts. Sutton Coldfield Town Hall is a Grade A locally listed Edwardian heritage theatre, arts, and community venue. With a seating capacity of c. 400, with the addition of 4 multipurpose rooms, boasting regal charm which adds a special ambience to all the events they host here. What we need from you to apply for this role: You will need a minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising and business development, preferably in the arts or events sectorHave a proven history of securing business partnerships and achieving fundraising targetsStrong networking skills and an existing network within the industry would be advantageousHave excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in grant writing being highly desirableHold a UK Driving Licence What the role involves: Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities and partnerships to increase venue bookings and other revenue streamsDevelop and implement a robust fundraising strategy that incorporates donor management, grant applications, sponsorship deals, and other relevant channelsFoster and nurture relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring their continued support and engagementCollaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to secure sponsorships for events and initiativesResearch and apply for grants that align with the venue's objectives and needs. Ensure timely reporting and compliance with grant conditionsLead fundraising campaigns, whether they are annual drives, capital campaigns, or event-specific initiativesMonitor, evaluate, and report on fundraising and business development activities, ensuring targets are met and refining strategies as necessaryWork closely with other department heads to align business development and fundraising efforts with the venue's overall goals Salary/hours: £23,000 - £26,000 per year, plus OTE (commission) which will be explained at interview stage.
