Robert Half are recruiting a Financial Controller on a 6 month contract for a Wiltshire based business. This role will be based near Swindon, with hybrid working, 2-3 days in the office. 6 months FTC, with a view to extend. As Financial Controller, you will: Be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations Work closely with the executive team, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Be involved in the acquisition accounting when we acquire companies, and reporting of individual business units. Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and performance statements, which are reported within a short time frame following each month end. Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and monitor performance against budget. Prepare financial forecasts and provide variance analysis. Conduct thorough financial analysis, including profitability analysis, trend analysis, and cost analysis. Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance financial performance. Establish and maintain effective financial controls and procedures Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and reporting requirements. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Migration to ERP systems. Collaborate with internal stakeholders. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function and implement best practices. Streamline financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Acted as primary liaison with banks, overseeing accounts, services, and negotiations. Production of accurate statutory accounts.
