Human Capital Partners are supporting an acquisitive £300m, multi-entity property company in London. We seek an ACA or ACCA qualified Group Financial Reporting Manager to lead the group reporting function.You will own the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the group’s financial reporting, with particular focus on UK GAAP statutory reporting and IFRS 16 (leases). This is a high-profile role, reporting to the Corporate Finance Director, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesGroup Financial Reporting & ControlsOwn the end-to-end group reporting process for multiple UK entities, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual results.Prepare consolidated group financial statements under UK GAAP.Lead year-end and half-year reporting cycles, including audit deliverables, reporting packs and supporting analysis.Develop, enhance and document group accounting policies and ensure consistent application across entities.Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, processes, and reconciliations.Statutory Accounts & AuditPrepare and review statutory accounts for multiple entities under UK GAAP.Act as primary contact for external auditors, managing the audit timetable, deliverables and issue resolution.Ensure compliance with all relevant UK accounting standards, Companies Act requirements and filing deadlines.IFRS 16 (Leases)Act as the internal subject matter expert on IFRS 16.Own the lease accounting process, including lease identification, classification, measurement and ongoing reassessment.Maintain and improve lease accounting models/systems, ensuring accurate recognition of right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.Experience & QualificationsEssentialQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), ideally trained in a Top 10 practice.Significant post-qualification experience in group financial reporting roles.Strong, hands-on experience preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP.Demonstrable, practical experience of IFRS 16 lease accounting in a multi-site or lease-heavy environment.Proven track record of managing external audits and working with auditors.Experience in a multi-entity group; consolidation experience is essential.DesirablePrevious experience in a similar-sized organisation.Exposure to system implementations or reporting tool improvements.Skills & AttributesACA or ACCA qualified with 4 years + PQE. Previous experience gained in audit. Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP; IFRS 16 essential).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.Confident communicator, able to explain complex issues to non-finance stakeholders.Highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.Proactive, improvement-focused mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo.Collaborative and approachable, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
