Financial Controller, Guildford, £60-70k package Are you a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to finance? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead a finance function and drive operational excellence. This is a key role supporting the Managing Director and wider SLT with accurate financial insights, robust controls, and efficient processes. This is a full time, permanent, office-based role. SRM are supporting a scaling manufacturing and engineering services business in the South Oxfordshire area to recruit a Financial Controller.This role is a "hands on, process improvement" centred role and are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / CA preferred; however, strong candidates with alternative qualifications will be considered). This is an office based role, 5 days a week but working in a collaborative, supportive culture.Key responsibilities:Ledger Management and Monthly Reporting – leading and end-to-end month-end close process on a timely basis and to support accurate and relevant Board reporting and department requirements. From a process improvement perspective, our client would like a candidate who sees issues and can improve processes - develop month end reporting to ensure visibility and control of all areas of the business.
