Financial Accountant
We're partnering with a global anti-slavery organisation to find a motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to lead a small but complex finance operations department for a period of 8-10 monthsAs the Financial Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial systems that underpin the mission. From overseeing international financial processing to developing robust controls, your expertise will ensure effective and efficient financial operations. Key Responsibilities:Lead month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain and administer and develop the accounting systemProvide training and support on financial policies and proceduresProduce quarterly VAT returns and manage the fixed assets registerSupport year-end statutory audits and liaise with external stakeholdersManage accounts payable and oversee weekly payment runsManage and develop the finance officerAct as a key point of contact for financial queries across the organisationQualifications and Experience:Part or fully qualified CCAB accountant or qualified by experienceDemonstrable experience in financial accounting system maintenanceStrong understanding of statutory accounts and group reportingExperience in international accounts payable functionsBenefits include a generous holiday allowance, flexible and hybrid working (2 office days per week) and a very competitive non-contributory pension.
