The role offers a broad remit, significant ownership, and exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, improving controls and processes, resolving legacy reconciliation issues, and supporting wider operational and strategic finance activities.This position would suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys operating within a fast paced and evolving environment, balancing detailed financial control work with business partnering and process improvement responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packsOwnership of month end close activities including journals, accruals, and prepaymentsDetailed balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, and suspense accountsVariance analysis and commentary to support senior leadership decision makingSupporting budgeting and forecasting processesVAT reconciliations, compliance, and transaction reviewsSupporting internal and external audit processesInvestigating and resolving historic accounting discrepancies and legacy issuesSupporting finance related projects and system/process improvementsWorking closely with operational stakeholders to improve financial controls and reporting accuracyAbout You:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)Experience operating within a broad and hands-on finance role.You will ideally possess:2-5 years post-qualified experienceStrong management accounting and financial reporting capabilityAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilityExperience managing complex reconciliations and resolving financial discrepanciesExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailThe confidence to engage with and challenge senior stakeholders where appropriateA proactive and solutions focused mindsetThe ability to work autonomously and manage competing prioritiesWhat's on Offer:Long term contract stability through to 2028Broad and varied finance role with real ownershipOpportunity to influence finance process improvementsSupportive and collaborative working cultureExposure to senior leadership and strategic decision makingHybrid workingIf you are looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact while remaining hands on within a broad finance position, we look forward to hearing from you!
