This role is key in providing actionable insight, challenging performance, and supporting strategic decision-making within a dynamic manufacturing environment.Client DetailsThis SME is on a strong growth trajectory, making it an exciting time to join the businessDescriptionManage the preparation and review of accurate financial statements and reportsLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned to operational performanceEnsure strong financial governance, compliance, and internal controlsLead, develop, and mentor the finance team to drive high performanceDeliver detailed financial, costing, and margin analysis, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiencyOversee standard costing models, including regular review and updates to reflect operational changesAnalyse and report on cost variances (labour, materials, overheads), providing clear insight and challenge to operational teamsManage stock accounting, including valuation, provisions, reconciliations, and working closely with operations to optimise inventory levelsPartner with manufacturing and operational teams to drive efficiencies, control costs, and support continuous improvement initiativesMonitor cash flow and working capital, including a focus on stock and supplier dynamicsProvide clear, commercially focused insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and business growthProfileQualified accountant or qualified by experienceProven experience within a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to costing and margin analysisAmbitious and motivated to grow within a fast-paced, high-growth businessCommercially focused, with the ability to business partner effectively with operational teamsExperience using Sage (desirable)Job OfferCompetitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000 per annum.1 day option to work from home.
