Senior Finance Officer
Senior Finance Officer / Holywood / Charity / £26,500 per annum Our client, a local charity based in the Holywood Area, has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join their small team and work closely with the Management Accountant. This is a full time post, office based and offers flexibility on working hours. The Senior Finance Officer will work as part of a small team of three staff and will oversee the Finance Administrator while providing support to the Management Accountant. The position will offer full-time hours (40 hours per week) and a salary of £24,000 to £26,500 dependent on experience. Responsibilities: Full processing and reconciliation of Petty cash, to high level of detail ensuring all expenditure accounted for by receipt Full processing and reconciliation of Visa cards, to high level of detail ensuring all expenditure accounted for by receipt Assist in the processing of the bi-monthly payment run Ensure accurate accounting records and systems are maintained, with an appropriate level of information to facilitate review, investigation and explanation of variances to budget Review and assist to ensure that expenditure is coded accurately to allow for proper recording and reporting of expenditureEnsure that all expenditures are incurred in line with financial authorisation procedures Liaise with auditors, when required Prepare journals for input to system Process all payments via appropriate manner Ensure that adequate financial records in relation payments are maintained and reconciled on a regular basis Process and organize all lodgements to bank (non-direct payments) Expenditure management Ensure the payment of Employers for childcare is processed and paid on time Ordering sufficient Petty cash for the community, on a monthly basis Co-workers pocket money to be calculated and paid monthly Volunteer payments to be paid monthly Update monthly information for management account adhering to timetable Oversee the reconciliation of the Purchase ledger Update and reconcile Agency for Management accounts Distribute monthly budget analysis to various budget holders Essential Criteria: 5 GCSE's Grade C and above including Maths & English An ATI or Part ATI qualification would be desireable 2 years experience working within an office/accounts setting Ability to follow procedures and work with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work in an office every day as part of a team Benefits 28 days annual leave pro rata plus 12 statutory daysOrganisation PensionOccupational sick Pay Scheme, increases with length of serviceDeath in Benefit Insurance 2 x salaryOptional access to the Benenden Health Care schemeFree Parking on site If you would like to be considered for this position then please submit your CV via the link provided, or alternatively please feel free to contact Lizzy Lyons from Reed directly on
