Exclusive role - Finance Director - City of London (hybrid working) - c.£110k Cedar have been retained by the Founder of an industry leading specialist in the Engineering and Construction space looking to hire their first Finance Director. As a highly profitable SME, they have a growth plan to quadruple revenue over the next 5 years - with sustainability at their core as a certified carbon-neutral business. As the number 1 in Finance reporting into the Managing Director and the Founder, this all-encompassing, hands-on Finance Director position, will bring Finance in-house and be a member of the senior leadership team. You will lead and develop the Finance function, building robust management accounts and a strong controls environment, while managing a small team and managing the outsourced Financial Reporting and Payroll providers. You will business partner the MD & Founder daily, leading on the delivery of company budgets & financial strategy, including observing and presenting in Board meetings. In 2021 the Founder transferred the shares of the business to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), providing indirect employee ownership of the company for the benefit of all employees.
