Halliday Marx are exclusively searching for an Interim Financial Controller on a 15-Month Fixed Term Contract to start in October, for a global leader in their field.Interim FC£95 to £110k DOECentral LondonHybrid (3-4 days in)This role leads the UK and Ireland core finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and effective planning while partnering with operational leaders to support commercial decision-making.Reporting to the CFO, the role leads and develops the Finance team and works closely with operational leaders and other business functions.The role:Management of the finance team of 9Lead the month-end close and production of monthly group financial reportingOversee the accurate upload of month end into the global financial reporting systemReview of monthly financial movement schedules.Ensure integrity of balance sheetReview of sales, transaction, revenue and cost centre reports.Lead and support the preparation of entity-level budgets and rolling forecasts for the group, including full profit and loss statements and capital expenditure.Overseeing the annual accounting packs (under IFRS) and completion of the quarterly tax packs.Overseeing and assisting with the preparation of statutory accountsManage interim and year-end audit processesOverseeing corporation tax computationsOverseeing completion of VAT returnsMonitoring and review of client accruals and profitability.Monitoring of external client P&L statements and internal client profitability analysis.Monitor and ensure timely billing of external client P&L statements and ad hoc services.Control and review of overhead expenditure invoices.Monitoring of CapexYou will have / be:A Qualified Accountant: ACCA , ACA, CIMA or equivalentLots of IFRS / UK statutory reporting understandingExcellent spreadsheet skillsSAP would be an advantageAbility to prioritise competing demandsProven ability to develop, motivate and mentor finance team staff.Experience of working with operational divisionsConfidence to challenge existing practices constructively, identify opportunities for improvement and lead changes that strengthen finance processes.Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to make decisions in the best interests of the company.
