Interim Finance Consultant (Local government) Duration: 3-6 months contract role Location: London/Derbyshire (Hybrid role) Who we are Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community is a network of contract professionals, giving you the opportunity to work with our clients alongside Grant Thornton teams on a project-by-project basis whilst being supported by our dedicated Agile Talent team. You can choose to work with Grant Thornton as an Independent Consultant either through your own limited company or on inside IR35 terms. Joining us in Public Sector Advisory Our Public Sector focused on providing our public, private and third sector clients involved in the creation of public infrastructure assets or the delivery of public services with the support, insight, knowledge and vision to enable them to unlock growth and deliver their strategic objectives, through the provision of Advisory, Insight-led consulting and Analytics platforms. Joining the Agile Talent Community as an experienced Interim Finance Consultant in the local government sector, you will have the freedom to work on projects that you choose, whether full or part-time to support our clients and internal teams on short-to-medium-term assignments. Skills we are looking for Hands-on experience in running and heading up the Local Authority finance function in a leadership role; Consulting experience is highly desired.Experience in creating detailed SOPs, workflows, process maps, implement solutions and fix problemsExcellent finance business partnering, forecasting, technical accounting and customer facing skillsBuild and maintain a strong working relationship with the team and our clients.Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) What’s in it for you Development: Your development is important to us and as part of the Agile Talent Community you will be able to work alongside our permanent teams as well as our clients, giving you variety and opportunity to develop new skills.
