Finance AssistantCheltenhamSalary £30k - 35kWe are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Finance Assistant, reporting to the Finance Manager, this varied and key role will encompass traditional accounting functions primarily in sales and purchase ledger, but may extend to include payroll and banking duties with support. This is a full-time role based on the outskirts of CheltenhamThe RoleEnsuring sales and purchase ledgers are complete and accuratePreparing cash book entries for credit card expenditureDealing with multiple currencies, specifically USD and EURPreparation of third-party and intercompany bank payment runsVAT accounting and assistance with reportingCredit control duties and customer liaisonDealing with ad-hoc finance and office administrationAssisting with the order fulfilment process; ensuring sales orders are correctly administered to ensure customer satisfaction and assist effective credit controlAssisting with customer queries when requiredStock accounting to ensure accuracy of the value within our accountsDay-to-day office facilities management, to ensure the continuous smooth running of the businessWelcoming and directing telephone enquiriesEmbracing change - enabling business growth by utilising new systems and improving processesThe CandidateAAT Level 4 qualifiedHighly numerate with a strong degree of accuracy and an eye for detailPrevious credit control experience, or a willingness to develop in this area.You will thrive in a varied, evolving role in a fast-paced environment with ability to juggle multiple prioritiesA self-starter with a confident, organised and methodical approach.Microsoft Office experience is needed.Previous experience in Sage 200 or similar ERP systems would be idealDue to our attractive location in the Cotswolds, which is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester and Oxford, own transport is essential.If you’re passionate about driving client success and want to be part of a team that values collaboration, ambition, and results, we’d love to hear from you.
