About the team and the role: We are seeking an experienced and detail orientated Finance Assistant to join our existing finance team. As a Finance Assistant, you will be managing daily transactional finance activities, including both accounts receivable and accounts payable, reporting to the Finance Manager. How you'll contribute: Credit control, communicate with brokers and account handlers to follow up on overdue invoices.Resolve broker queries daily in collaboration with internal teams.Process and allocate remittances received from brokers.Post and allocate daily bank receipts and payments.Reconcile bank accounts daily.Ensure timely payment of broker commissions or return premiums, where applicable.Keep insurers informed of any aged debtors and send them statements on a monthly basis.Reconcile statements received from insurers and remit on a monthly basis. Requirements: Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.Competent using Microsoft Office suite (including excel and word).Strong organisational skills.Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
