This is a newly created role within the finance department Client Details My client is a well established Manufacturing business based in the Bridgend area Description The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making processes within the Business Unit by providing financial analysis, insights, and recommendations. This role will involve ownership of forecasting, performance tracking, and financial management for the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and driving continuous improvement in financial performance. The role of the Finance Business Partner will include; Support Decision Making: Partner with Business Unit stakeholders to appraise capital schemes and support the development of business cases for new products, initiatives, and cost-saving measures.Provide financial analysis and insights to facilitate informed decision-making, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets. Forecasting Ownership: Take ownership of forecasting processes for the Business Unit, including P&L and Balance Sheet forecasts.Compile and validate the annual Budget, challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities for optimisation.Produce ad hoc forecasts as required to support decision-making and respond to changing business dynamics. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Track and drive Business Unit performance by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing variances, and preparing variance reports.Communicate financial performance insights to non-Finance stakeholders, facilitating understanding and alignment with business goals. Financial Management: Own the Business Unit's financial results, including P&L and Balance Sheet, by signing off on monthly results and managing subjective elements such as accruals and provisions.Provide analysis and commentary on financial performance, highlighting areas of opportunity or concern and recommending corrective actions as needed. Supporting Business Cases: Assist in the development and evaluation of business cases for new products, initiatives, and investments within the BU, providing financial analysis, feasibility assessments, and ROI calculations.Evaluate the financial implications of proposed business cases, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets, and recommending appropriate courses of action. Profile A successful Finance Business Partner should have: A strong background in accounting and financeProfessional qualifications in accountancy (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or have relevant experience as a Qualified by Experienced AccountantProven ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.Experience in budget management and financial forecasting.Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
