Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Examinations Officer / Exams Officer include:Managing Examination Administration: Lead all internal and external examination processes ensuring full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulationsPlanning Exam Timetables: Coordinate examination schedules, rooming, staffing and invigilation arrangementsProcessing Exam Entries: Manage exam entries via SIMS ensuring accuracy and adherence to school policiesMaintaining Secure Storage: Ensure secure handling, storage and distribution of examination papers and completed scriptsSupporting Examination Days: Resolve timetable clashes, oversee access arrangements and maintain examination standardsCoordinating Invigilators: Recruit, train and deploy invigilators to support effective examination deliveryManaging Results Processes: Coordinate results days, post-results services, appeals and examination reportingProducing Statistical Reports: Prepare examination analysis and performance data for senior leadershipEnsuring Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of examination regulations, procedures and data protection requirementsLiaising with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, examination boards and external candidatesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience in examinations administration, exams officer duties or education administrationExperience using SIMS or similar management information systemsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriatelyExperience coordinating schedules, timetables and administrative processesGood IT skills including Microsoft Office applications and database managementAbility to work flexibly during examination periods and GCSE results weekKnowledge of JCQ regulations and examination compliance procedures would be advantageousA proactive and professional approach with strong attention to detailBENEFITSFriendly and sociable colleaguesOne fully paid wellbeing day per academic yearExtended two-week October half term (trial period)Free on-site car parkingDiscounted staff membership for on-site leisure facilitiesAccess to a public sector pension schemeCycle-to-Work schemeGood transport linksThe organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
