Events Technician My client provides event technology and print services globally Salary: £34000 on-target earnings (£30000 basic p.a. + bonus) Incentives/Benefits: A performance based incentive will be added after training and the probation period is completed, which on a reasonable year would likely add £2000-£6000 to your basic salary. The role To support continued expansion we're looking for a new addition to our Tech Team. The role of Events Technician allows you to hone a broad set of skills; setting up and supporting hardware, configuring software, data handling and customer skills. There are opportunities to enhance your development skills. You will receive hands-on, one-to-one training in setting up, configuring and delivering our technical solutions at live events. After developing the necessary skills you will be tasked with delivering these services at our customers’ events, as part of our Onsite Tech Team. Responsibilities Ensure smooth execution of onsite servicesPre-event client communications regarding technical requirementsFull set-up and testing of software and equipment in house for onsite jobs, including customisation of the solution for the projectOnsite set-up, training and technical support at eventsReporting live data and producing post-event reportsSet up of 'dry hire’ equipment (for client to use without onsite support) and providing remote supportTraining team members to develop their skillsContribute to the improvement of tech solutions, and developing new onesMaintain hardware and manage equipment logisticsProduce documentation for systemsGeneral assistance to the team as requiredA higher-level qualification in an IT discipline or equivalent commercial experience within a technical role12 months or more work experienceCandidates must be competent in using database systems, e.g. able to write SQL queriesPresentable with strong customer facing skills and clear communicationOrganised and disciplined approach to workUK driving licence Required skills and experienceAdvantageous skills Working with API integration, SQL Server, AWS (RDS, S4, EC2), HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, VBA, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite Experience of hardware troubleshooting
