This customer facing role uses your excellent understanding of CNC machining and strong people and organisational skills to provide accurate pricing and lead time information. You will build on strong business relationships and continue to secure a wide range of profitable work for the businesses. The job involves estimation of 3,4 and 5 axis machining, fabrication and sub assembly. You will respond to RFQ's collating information and costs on materials and treatments to prepare bids and quotes and agree contracts. This will involve you working closely with various areas of the business to understand technical challenges, capacity, lead times and materials availability. You will use your knowledge of CNC Machining / precision engineering, materials and processes alongside your estimating experience to help improve the efficiency of this part of the company, being a key commercial link between customers and the company. You will have previously worked within a precision engineering environment (ideally aerospace manufacturing), ideally with experience as an estimator or cost engineer. Proficiency with excel / access MS Office programmes is essential. Estimator Location: - Midlands, Wellingborough Salary: - £35,000 - £55,000 (DOE) Role Description The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a construction-based firm based within the Midlands, Wellingborough region who are expanding their commercial team by on boarding an Estimator. As an Estimator, you will be tasked to carry out take-offs, bills of quantities, cost plans and tenders for a range of clients including, sub-contractors, developers and private clients. In addition, you will assist reviewing residential and commercial projects with new and existing clients. Day to day duties will vary but could include: Completing tenders on behalf of clients based on architectural, structure engineer, and specialist drawings, plans and specifications.Establishing connections with various individuals across the tendering process including suppliers, subcontractors and specialists to allow collaboration.Perform accurate take-offs for various residential and commercial projects, utilising measuring take-off tools and software for precision.Supporting the estimating and managing director as required.Discussing and establishing potential value engineering regarding projects to aid clients in meeting budgets.
