Working in the Regional Real Estate Team, you’ll be part of an important and dynamic department within the business.  Your role will require you to consistently manage and supervise all planned and reactive maintenance of stores, utilising a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system. You’ll regularly lead meetings with our Operations teams and act as a lead in discussions with Contractors, whilst ensuring an efficient and co-operative working environment, and performing due diligence to minimise costs and maintain accurate accounts.This is a field based role covering the Greater London and South East England area. This is your chance to get a real taste of retail, as you're exposed to every facet of our business over the 12 months of your placement. You'll spend the first few months in store, learning about (and actually doing) everyone's different roles. It can be very hard work: you could be stacking shelves, operating the till, serving customers…whatever's required, you're there with a helpful smile and a good head on your shoulders. Once you know what goes into every role, you'll be better equipped to manage and lead the team. Along the way, you'll complete a number of different projects in a variety of areas across the business, including Logistics, Administration, Property and Trading. You'll also work alongside an Area Manager, getting a real insight into their role. As a result, you'll be perfectly placed to hit the ground running on our Area Manager Programme once you've graduated. As part of a fun, close-knit team, you'll 'pick' stock for specific stores and load them onto the right pallets – ready for our Drivers to collect. Receiving instructions through a headset, you'll need to be on the ball and pay close attention to details that matter, such as store numbers. It also means always checking that the relevant paperwork is accurate. We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right.
