Enterprise Architect
Our client is a not-for-profit energy organisation that works in a close relationship with the government and is integral to the economy. This is a new opportunity which has been created to support a currently established team to take them to the next level. We are now looking an Enterprise Architect to join their busy and growing team. Enterprise Architect Canary Wharf - hybrid with 3 days per week working from home. £90-109K plus bonus and excellent benefits package. To be successful in this role: You will be a confident Enterprise Architect with a background in software development. You will be able to demonstrate growth from developing and building architecture with management. Other requirements for this role include: A Bachelor's / Master’s degree in a STEM subject2+ years Enterprise or Solutions Architecture experience for corporate functions2+ years of line management experience (postholder will manage 3-5 reports)Process-oriented and with significant experience of Cloud technologiesExpertise working as a Software Engineer / Developer who has built software solutionsKnowledge of programming languages (i.e. Python, Java, React, etc.) and infrastructure technologies (Azure, AWS, Terraform, Docker containers, etc)Any start up experience and building from scratch would be of particular interestAn understanding of UX/UI practices and tools would be desirable but is not essential Job role and responsibilities: As and Enterprise Architect, you will shape the technology architecture for corporate functions and contribute to the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives. This involves managing a group of Solution Architects who deliver solutions to main stakeholders such as Operations, Analytics and Delivery teams. These teams are composed of a mix-skill group of in-house Developers, Data Engineers, Scrum masters, and UX/UI designers, plus outsourcing partners working in a matrix-managed technology environment. Other responsibilities for this role include: Leading transformational delivery solutions towards a digital-first philosophy and growing systems and tech servicesWorking closely with Senior Managers and key stakeholders across the business to drive collaboration and communication between various teamsWorking with Architecture, Infrastructure, Delivery and Data teams to drive decision-making processes that translate into highly technical documentationDocumenting the technical and data architecture of the "as-is" and "to-be" solutionsEnsuring that solutions proposed by a project meet the strategic objectives of the product or serviceDocumenting the non-functional requirements across the different solutionsAccountable for ensuring chosen solutions meet the business, functional and non-functional requirementsDocumenting the technology landscape, interfaces and data flowSupporting solution ownership within the business operating modelEnsuring that any project delivery meets the architecture strategy and policiesDeveloping and maintaining a clear roadmap for adopting new featuresManaging the technical risks across any project, product or serviceLine management/hiring/development of Solutions Architect(s) and administrative support Benefits: Attractive salaryHybrid working from home available - 2 days office/3 days home8% Employer Pension Contribution25 days annual leaveFamily friendly policiesAccess to work perksRecognition Schemes
