As part of this expansion, they are establishing a dedicated maintenance function — offering the right engineer the chance to make a visible impact and shape how maintenance is delivered across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery and supporting equipment.Respond efficiently to breakdowns, carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding.Support installation, relocation, and commissioning of new machinery and systems.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service history, and asset performance.Drive improvements in reliability, efficiency, and safety through engineering initiatives.Manage stock of critical spare parts and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely availability.Conduct equipment safety checks and ensure all work complies with health and safety standards.Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime and increasing output.Candidate BackgroundRecognised qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent apprenticeship).Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment.Strong diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.Able to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.Good understanding of motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, pneumatics, and automation systems.Self-motivated, organised, and confident working independently and collaboratively.(Desirable) 18th Edition certification, experience with CMMS systems, or background in textile, upholstery, or packaging machinery.BenefitsCompetitive salary: £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience.Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm with occasional out-of-hours work.Overtime and call-out opportunities for additional earnings.The chance to build and shape the maintenance function within a modern, expanding facility.Supportive and forward-thinking company culture with long-term development opportunities.Work in a clean, modern production environment with new equipment and genuine career progression potential.
