Cost Engineer
Our client, a distinguished project controls consultancy in the nuclear sector, is seeking two experienced Cost Engineers to join their expanding team. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements available, supporting major projects across the UK.Key Responsibilities:Assess contractor dashboards and provide recommendations where neededBrief the Project Manager on the cost status of worksCoordinate the implementation and day-to-day running of the Project Change / Trend programmeMonitor timely raising and closure of TrendsUse the Trend Database and support weekly trend meetings to update AFCJob Requirements:Security Clearance (SC Clearance) is mandatoryPrevious experience as a Cost Engineer or in a similar roleExtensive knowledge of cost engineering fundamentals, including estimating, cost control, and cost analysisStrong understanding of NEC contract knowledge and operational implementationAbility to function as part of an integrated team, covering scope, schedule, and costExcellent stakeholder communication skills, with confidence in presenting cost information to management and clientsAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilitiesGood understanding of wider project processes, including engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-upAdvanced Excel skills are desirableExperience with forecasting, scheduling techniques, and risk analysisIf you have significant experience in cost engineering and meet the requirements outlined above, we would love to hear from you.
